EVENT OVERVIEW

As we look for our next generation of Associate Software Developers, we like to take a more inspired approach to exploring our company culture.  SAP encourages a fast-paced, start-up environment while being a leading global organization, but we also open ourselves up to be more inviting beyond just the corporate setting.  We aim to engage and interact with our audience in a more open setting.

 

On Tuesday June 11 at 5 pm CEST, SAP is taking over the Palmengarten in Frankfurt for a free exclusive networking event.  Attendees of this event will be able to connect with various diverse members of the SAP community from all over Germany and speak about the opportunities with hiring managers, senior leaders in our company, and recruiters. 

 

Of course, we aren’t coming alone.  SAP has invited award-winning darts players to compete live for the event.  They will bring their skills and insights as darts champions to entertain all attendees.

INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW


The persistence team is an essential pillar of SAP Cloud Platform as we offer databases like SAP HANA and SAP ASE to our internal and external customers in the cloud.  The team plays an integral role in SAP’s strategy to become THE cloud company. We develop and operate software that takes care of the lifecycle and the monitoring of databases running on AWS, Azure, or in SAP datacenters.  

 

As an intern on our team, you will:

As an Associate Software Developer Intern, it will be in your responsibility to work on the development and extension of automated end to end tests, which are an important tool for SAP’s software lifecycle in cloud environment. For this task you need to understand the architecture and complexity of cloud landscapes and find solutions how to test the interaction of different cloud components and services in a reliable and resilient fashion.

 

You will be or bring:

  • A student at a university or a university of applied science, preferred fields: computer science or a related field.
  • Practical experience in Python is mandatory
  • Experience using Git, Github, and Jenkins
  • Basic understanding about software testing and web technologies like HTTP and REST APIs
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt quickly to new tasks/challenges
  • Very good in English, German would be a plus
  • Working experience with Python libraries like requests, unittest, and json are a plus.
