PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The Cloud Platform Delivery Team is globally responsible for operating and improving the majority of SAP-hosted Infrastructure-as-a-service platforms, building the foundation of SAP’s Cloud Business for any on-premise cloud platform. Operating tens of thousands of servers as well as hundreds of enterprise storage devices brings extreme challenges with regards to stability and maintainability.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS 

  • Co-develop the monitoring stack for SAP Converged Cloud, the strategic SAP on-premise cloud platform
  • Develop your own metrics exporter with Prometheus
  • Support on service implementation 
  • Review and update existing components
  • Get actively involved, experience personal development and expand your technical skills within a corporate culture with highly motivated and friendly colleagues

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Student at a university or a university of applied sciences
  • Preferred fields of study: Business Informatics, Data Science, Computer Science
  • Computer skills:
    • Applied programming skills in at least one programming language (e.g. Python, GoLang)
    • Microsoft Office
  • Language skills: English, German
  • Soft skills:
    • Desire to always be learning, and a collaborative team-player attitude
    • Reliability and focus on high quality of work
    • Ability to work in a global, agile and diverse organization
    • Consumer orientation, service-oriented thinking

Please describe as well your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.

WORK EXPERIENCE
First experiences with Python, Docker, Kubernetes, Prometheus, Grafana and practical experiences gained through other IT internships would be an asset.
