PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The Innovation Center Network's mission is to strengthen SAP as a leading tech company by investigating new technologies, staying up-to-date on research trends, and through helping customers to realize innovative solutions. It consists of a highly diverse team which has expert knowledge in a wide range of technologies.

You will be a member of the Reason on MirageOS scrum team, part of the bigger Clound App Dev Kit for Scala team. The goal of this freshy formed team is to explore the unikernel technologies in the context of cloud applications. The team is highly international, and English is the working language of the team.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

You will support us with the design and development of a Reson-based business application (both the frontend and the backend) for Cloud.

Your tasks will include:

• Programming in Reason and/or OCaml
• Create documents and tutorials
• Discuss design and concepts in the team

The planned initial task is to enable the MirageOS compiler to accept Reason programs.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• You are a student at a university or university of applied sciences in computer science, mathematics, or related subject.
• You have good working knowledge in OCaml or any statically typed functional programming languages (such as Haskell) if you are willing to learn OCaml.
• You feel comfortable with static types, immutable datastructure, pattern-matching, recursion, higher-order functions.
• You are autonomous and proactive.

Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Please describe as well your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.
