What are you going to do:

In your role as a working student (m/f/d) in the field of Electrochemistry you will support the activities in R&D and customer projects within MSD for an initial period of 12 months.

You will play an active role in the execution of routine electrochemical experiments and evaluation and preparation of reports under supervision. In addition, you will support our team in maintaining laboratory equipment and chemicals inventory management. You will be a part of an experienced development team based in Berlin-Moabit. In this role you will be helping us to provide mechanistic understanding of new processes and thus improve new product developments.

Your responsibility

  • Support the activities in R&D and customer projects within MSD
  • Support in literature research
  • Carry out experimental electrochemical characterizations
  • Presentation of results withing R&D groups
  • Provide support in data evaluation
  • Support our team in maintaining laboratory equipment and chemicals

What we ask:

  • Enrolled in a state-recognized university
  • You are at the end of your Bachelor's degree programme in chemistry, physics or engineering, with knowledge of physical chemistry and/or electrochemistry
  • Technical understanding and experimental skills
  • Good user knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Knowledge of Origin software is an advantage, not mandatory
  • Good written and spoken English skills, German is a plus
  • Professional and situational appearance, structured and careful way of working
  • Communication skills, ability to work in a team, flexibility
  • Minimum 16 hours per week during semester, minimum 32 hours per weeks during semester break
