NEEDED: Stage Crew (Freelance/Hourly)

The Stage Management team at The English Theatre Frankfurt is currently looking for freelance/ hourly-paid (Sozialversicherungspflichtiger, MiniJob, Werkstudent) Stage Crew members to support the Stage Management team for the upcoming production of Sylvia. Stage Crew will need to be available:
- during Technical rehearsals; April 1st-12th (max. 60 hours/week).
- for evening performances (6 shows per week, max. 30 hours/week, including weekends) from April 13th-May 26th.

Job Description:

• Assist the Stage Management team with the running of technical rehearsals and performances.
• Ensure stage and rehearsal environments are set-up and maintained as required with appropriate set, props, and other effects, as necessary.
• Perform the Stage Crew tracks as directed by the Assistant Stage Manager, including
some onstage cues.
• Recognize where maintenance work needs to be carried out/replacements are required and bring this to the attention of the Assistant Stage Manager.
• Maintenance of props, carrying out repairs in emergencies as required.
• Ensure all Stage Management equipment and areas are kept in a tidy and secure manner.
• Assist the Stage Management team with rehearsal requirements and requests.
• Work collaboratively with all other departments, including the theatre technical team, to ensure the smooth running of the production.
• Learn all tracks within your department to provide absence cover for other members of your department as necessary.• Any other reasonable duty that would normally fall within the realm of a Stage Crew member based on industry norms and practice.

Candidate Characteristics:
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written with excellent attention to detail. • A proactive and flexible attitude.
• Comfortable working with ladders, heavy set pieces, firearms and operation of pyro (training will be provided).
• The ability to work well with actors and creative teams.
• The ability to work under pressure and effectively prioritise.
• Fluent in English
• First-aid certification
