Student Job / Part-time – Technical Assistant – GIS / Geospatial Data in Dusseldorf
Jobbeschreibung
In our mission to be the traveller’s first source of hotel-related information, trivago is always pushing to improve the content available to our site’s users. Location is an important factor for users looking to book a hotel so it is essential that the geographic information that we present is wide-ranging and accurate. We’re looking for someone who is familiar with geographic data formats to help guarantee the quality of, and to develop, our existing and incoming geospatial data. You will ensure that our geospatial data is consistent and prioritize any missing or inconsistent data so that it can be efficiently processed. You will also add points of interest and area boundaries in order to give our users a greater understanding of the locations they are searching for. As you process data, you will undertake basic analyses using GIS and Excel and present your findings in order to help us improve our geospatial data approach.
The ideal candidate:

- Can confidently deliver informative and engaging presentations.
- Is fully able to communicate their thoughts, needs and intentions (both verbally and in writing) so that any potential misunderstandings are avoided.
