AWS Systems Manager is the operations hub for AWS. The service makes it easy to automate and orchestrate operational tasks in the cloud or on Amazon EC2, RDS, and on-premises instances. AWS Systems Manager also provides a unified console experience in which customers identify, analyze, and resolve operational issues affecting their applications and resources.

AWS Systems Manager is looking for Front End Engineers (FEE’s) to create beautiful user experiences that delight and empower customers. Our customers come from diverse backgrounds spanning different personas, differing levels of experience, different countries, and different expectations on how they would like to interact to achieve their goals. To satisfy their needs, you will work with designers, product management, leadership, and other engineers to build and extend some of the most impactful features of AWS Systems Manager, including Application Manager and QuickSetup.

Application Manager is a console feature that helps customers provision applications and diagnose and remediate issues across applications and resources. QuickSetup is a platform which enables AWS teams to deliver powerful and simple user experiences which enable focused use cases targeting one or more AWS accounts.

As a member of the AWS Systems Manager team, you will deliver delightful customer experiences which affect hundreds of thousands of customers. You will own customer facing features through the entire life-cycle, from requirements definition to design, implementation, testing and finally deployment into production. You role will not stop there as customer feedback will continue to drive cycles of innovation and updates.

ON-CALL RESPONSIBILITIES
This position involves on-call responsibilities, typically one week every ~6-8 weeks. We don’t like getting paged in the middle of the night or on the weekend, so we work to ensure that our systems are fault tolerant. When we do get paged, we work together to resolve the root cause so that we don’t get paged for the same issue twice.
