Within our NHS Supply Chain contract, we provide patient-focussed healthcare products and supply chain services to the UK’s National Health Service (NHS). Our end-to-end supply chain services incorporate procurement, logistics, e-Commerce and customer and supplier support. We are offering one exceptional candidate the chance to be a Health & Safety Training Manager to be the training lead for training and development to internal key customers helping NHS Supply Chain. The successful applicant will focus on the training of Health & Safety and other subjects for the development of people to become an employer of choice and a provider of choice. They will be responsible for the creation and implementation of the training programmes and will assist in the planning and coordination of required training for NHS Supply Chain.
As Health & Safety Training Manager you will be expected to:
Support and Challenge the Training and Health and Safety of the Transport community in all NHS SC
Actively monitor and maintain the standards of the Driver Assessors Trainers using defined CPD competencies and requirements and to assess the delivery skills of all
Produce and deliver through appropriate materials programs for delivery to drivers to support the business
To support Driver assessors and Instructors in the sites
Identify, develop and design training interactions which contribute to the business, and to comply with any industry standards and legislation mandatory requirements
Ensure that the QPulse (Training and People) records are effectively managed and maintained and all electronic records are updated with certification / accreditation as necessary for the purposes of defensibility, audit records and quality
To run and deliver management courses that may be required to support the transport areas of Training and H&S
What will you need as a successful Health & Safety Training Manager?
Excellent communication skills, Logistics & Supply Chain experience (desirable), experience delivering Functional work place training, H&S qualifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH Managing Safely, good IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and H&S and training implementation experience/evidence of working on and driving CI initiatives would be advantageous.
