Job summary
Interested in voice technology, in working with major brands, and our top partners, to shape Alexa experiences and content to delight customers? Within the Alexa International team you will have an enormous opportunity to impact the customer experience, design, build, and implementation of Alexa content that will be used every day by people you know. In this role, you will wear many hats, including technical advisor, software developer and evangelist. You must possess a unique combination of deep technical skills and business acumen as well as a do-what-it-takes attitude to ensure our developers and content partners are able to take full advantage of Alexa’s skills and are delivering a delightful end user experience.

Ideally, you’re someone who can write code with the best of them, but also wants to help guide our developers towards a technology you believe in. You have immediate credibility with technologists and developers at all levels, from students to CIOs. You love to share your passion with others and exhibit good judgment in selecting strategic opportunities to do so. Key job responsibilities

• Be a trusted technical advisor to your customer. Root cause issues and provide resolution to unblock development or improve the Alexa experience.
• Give presentations and demonstrations of new Amazon technologies
• Manage complex projects end-to-end with measurable impact
• Identify opportunities to deliver experiences that demonstrate what is possible with Alexa Skills
• Advocate internally for developer features and functionality that will help facilitate world class Alexa skills
• Actively collaborate with internal and external teams, leveraging diverse perspectives in your decision-making
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the SA community
• Be able to build and demonstrate latest tech features for Alexa to architect solutions to difficult problems

A day in the life
The day starts, you check your calendar. There’s a fun mix of developer calls, product syncs, and team meetings spread through the week. This morning you’ve prioritised working on a blocking issue emailed in by a key developer. The issue is new to you, so you dive into the technical documentation and expand your knowledge by reaching out to colleagues. Then you build, craft a solution, and communicate it to the developer. Working on this has given you a great idea for a delightful customer experience. You contact your business development teammates to run it past them before expanding on it more or writing a doc. You love these sessions as they always provide great customer experiences which could be built. Energized by the session you start talking to internal product teams to see how you can help unlock some of those great ideas and make them a reality. Your day is busy, it can be hard but you’re always supported, it's diverse, you’re always learning, and importantly you’re having fun whilst making history.
