Job summary
This Senior User Researcher will own the research roadmap and lead research for the critical area of AWS Resource Management and Governance. The focus for this research will be to learn how AWS customers organize, explore, govern and act on their resources. Insights from this work will enable the team to innovate and deliver new experiences that improve how customers manage their applications on AWS. This highly-strategic research will inform the team's understanding of the customer journey when it comes to the critical work of managing and governing resources.

Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will be part of a team strategizing to discover ways to improve customers' experience of operating their resources securely in the cloud, and you will listen to customers to help prioritize which problems to tackle through innovation.

Responsibilities include:
• Be a strong team player that operates as a peer to product management and engineering in defining the customer-centric approach to product development.

• Determine the best research approach to inform product development which could be a mix of quantitative, qualitative and participatory design methods.

• Provide research leadership to support discovery of core customer journeys, prioritization of pain points to address, and measurement to track improved developer productivity.

• Effectively translate data and insights into strategy and product direction.

• Continually learn, grow, and improve the craft of UX research.
