Our team is based in our fast-growing tech hubs in Tel Aviv, Israel and Edinburgh. However, we offer the flexibility of working remotely from Barcelona, Amsterdam, Berlin, London, Madrid, Belgrad, Luxembourg or Munich where Amazon’s local development centers are located.

About the team
Core platforms & Ad serving
We build and operate the core ad serving and provisioning infrastructure for our globally distributed ad server. Our provisioning systems allow customers to easily create campaigns that leverage our core creative products, either via the web or through API’s. Our globally distributed ad servers handle tens of thousands of ad requests per second within the smallest latency budgets. We utilise a wide range of technologies (Java, C++, ... all in AWS) to provide our customers with the best user experience around the globe.

Creative
We build and operate cutting edge creative authoring tools that allows customers to build engaging experiences for their customers. We combine media transformation, animation and packaging into a simple, powerful web-based authoring tool that takes the friction out of creating and provisioning multi channel ads. We focus on state of the art, cloud-native and serverless architectures with a heavy focus on front-end technologies such as React and Redux.

Billing
We build and operate the billing system that powers Amazon’s demand side ad server. Our customers are global brand advertisers with a diverse set of requirements allowing them to run advertising campaigns for a global audience. We serve billions of ad impressions around the world, making the accurate and timely pricing/billing of these campaigns a interesting challenge. We utilise a wide range of technologies (all in AWS) to provide our customers with the best user experience around the globe.

Measurement
The team is all about data and what we can do with it. Leveraging big data techniques and machine learning we consume billions of Ad events every day. We join and transform these into meaningful data sets, later consumed by our reporting engine. Our systems allow customers to generate various reports and understand, in detail how they can optimise and understand the performance of their Ad campaigns. To do this we leverage the best that tech can offer. Running on AWS we make use of EMR & Spark for processing, S3 as our data lake, and Vertica as our data warehouse. On top of this we use a modern frontend built in React which communicates to various Java microservices. If you love data and a modern tech stack we might be the team for you.
