We are looking for a sales representative to promote academic books and on-line educational resources to university lecturers and academic bookshops in the Rotterdam-Amsterdam Area. Sales experience is not required for this job!

Well established throughout Europe, they are one of the fastest growing textbook publishers and a core strategy of our client is to continue its focus on European expansion and business growth.

Function description
A sales representative working in this multinational will promote their products, academic books and on-line educational resources, to university lecturers and academic bookshops. The primary function will be to win new textbook adoptions and to service existing business. The candidate must be able to work independently as well as being part of a successful team of other sales representatives. Another principal accountability is to ensure that the products of our client are promoted at universities and bookshops throughout the region. Among other things this means:
- Work with marketing and editorial on developing the market.
- Guide logistical processes at bookshops at the end of each season.
- Making appointments with customers.
- Meet with customers on a daily base.
- Follow up with customers to provide service and repeat business.
- Report back market & competitor information and trends to management and marketing.
- Identify potential editorial leads and follow up.
- Identify and provide best solutions for customers working with the full range of textbooks and technological innovations.

Requirements
- A finished Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
- Excellent knowledge of the English language, verbally and written
- In possession of a drivers license.
- Intellectual curiosity is a must.
- Excellent networking abilities and communicative skills.
