Jobbeschreibung

Our KYC Team is central to enabling this growth while simultaneously making sure that we adhere to the highest Know-Your-Customer and Anti-Money-Laundering standards.

Your Responsibilities

As our KYC team lead, you will report into the COO of the German business and you will work closely with the Head of Compliance.

  • Manage and develop a high performing team of 4 direct reports and 6 indirect reports. You will coach your team individually, manage career development and provide candid and immediate feedback. You will also own the hiring process and you will be responsible for team training.
  • Proactively assess and manage workload and capacity. You will define KPIs and measure their effectiveness. You will partner with our Quality Assurance team to improve performance scorecards and qualitative reviews.
  • Be directly involved in the team's operations and lead by example.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our product and services. You will become a go to expert for how the different operations processes interlink and you will be able to assess them from a KYC and AML perspective.
  • Function as domain expert for KYC related questions and help guide our thinking on complex cases (for new and repeat customers).
  • Develop ownership of our Fraud Prevention and Financial Crime functions for the German team and work closely with our UK counterparts to share knowledge and best practices.
  • Work together with other team leads and our Strategy team to identify process and system improvements and help implement them to drive effectiveness.
  • Work closely with our Compliance team to ensure you and the team are always up-to-date with regards to regulatory developments.
  • Manage third service providers (credit agencies, official registers) from an operations and process perspective.

Your Profile

  • Proven experience working in KYC functions and managing AML processes. Finance knowledge and lending experience preferred.
  • Understanding of and interest in German KYC and AML requirements and legislation.
  • First experience working as a people manager. You know how to get the best out of your team, you lead by example and you provide candid feedback.
  • Diligence, exceptional work ethic, drive and ability to self-organise in a fast paced and high growth environment.
  • You are laser-focused on driving efficiencies, the quality of service and the customer experience without compromising on the AML / KYC side.
  • Ownership mindset and ability to work under pressure in order to meet company expectations.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management: you know how to successfully work with peers from different departments. You have an ability to listen and find common ground to move projects forward without compromising on your deliverables.

Your Benefits

  • A smart, motivated and international team (we represent over 35 different nationalities)
  • Every morning we get fully stocked fridges with whatever is needed to strengthen them. There are snacks (both healthy and less healthy) for the whole day
  • Once a year we take over a ski chalet in winter so that you and your team can ski (and work) for a week. During summer we are drawn to the sun. This year we swapped our office for a week by a poolside villa in Barcelona.
  • Access to the gym membership program
  • Exclusive participation in the daily commute
  • Our home is in a nice office in the heart of the big city. In Frankfurt in the beautiful Ostend, our London office is directly on Tottenham Court Road
  • Company-wide training courses with internal and external speakers
  • 26 days of vacation a year, plus all public holidays, plus a free day for your birthday
  • A paid volunteer day that gives you the opportunity to invest time to support a charity of your choice.
  • Additional vacation so that you can take more time to travel or study outside of your vacation entitlement.
