Focus:
Shortens the sales cycle by overcoming technical hurdles within enterprise accounts. Provides services to reseller partners that service key enterprise accounts and Enterprise Account Managers that enable penetration into enterprise accounts. Drives sales with technical expertise, account management skills, sales ability and a superior customer focus. You must be able to present the Citrix platform architecture, as well as identify key business values. Sales Engineers must have solid communication skills, sales ability, technical expertise, and work well in a team, or independently. You should be able to communicate extremely complicated technical material in a highly stressful yet results oriented environment. Manages projects within Enterprise accounts as is appropriate to drive further sales into the organization. Works with Corporate to develop presentation material and technical white papers to contribute to the future of our products as well as our sales success.
Teamwork:
Works with enterprise customers to identify needs. Leverages relationships within organizations to solve technical hurdles and foster awareness of our products and solutions. Works with the Inside and Outside sales representatives for the region on joint account calls, providing feedback to these sales team members, and implementing driving plans for account penetration in the enterprise. Drives internal and external sales and technical readiness of the organization. Works with the appropriate teams to resolve issues internally as well as externally with business partners. Acts as a mentor to other SEs to share knowledge and best practices to advance sales of our products and technologies.
Technical Knowledge:
Must have an expert knowledge and understanding of Citrix platforms and associated management and portal products, as well as server based computing and application management and deployment. Must understand and research positioning of Citrix and competitive product architecture, migration and coexistence in heterogeneous environments. Demonstrates an ability to leverage an expert understanding of scalability, availability, and reliability into customer accounts. Demonstrates an advanced understanding of Windows, Unix, Internet technologies, web serving, portal integration, network security, and directory services.
Sales Ability:
Demonstrates an ability to determine opportunities in customer situations to leverage selling opportunities.
Communication Skills:
Must have the ability to present Citrixs in-depth positioning on server based computing strategies. Must be able to recognize the comfort level of the audience and present extremely technical information in a fashion that can be understood by the audience. Demonstrates excellent listening skills resulting in a high level of customer satisfaction. Must be able to listen for opportunities as well as potential technical hurdles. Must have excellent written skills in the form of presentations, emails, white papers, and technical notes. Must have the ability to communicate with all levels of an enterprise customer including C-level.
Motivation and Initiative:
The Sales Engineer is a self-starter that manages time and activities with little day-to-day guidance or interaction from their Regional Manager. Must exhibit a positive attitude, represents Citrix to our business partners and customers in the best possible fashion, and fosters interest in our technology and company to audiences. Ability to prioritize and manage a very large number of diverse tasks, must utilize coaching conversations to align career goals and Regional goals.
Independently Attentive:
Provides statistical information based on field and account activity to the Regional Manager in a timely manner. Finishes paperwork and use internal
