PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

 

The Central Business Operations Team is a cross-function in SAP´s Transformation Office with the aim to take SAP's vision and bring it to life, by mapping SAP's strategy to the operational reality and catalyzing necessary activities within the organization to turn that vision into impact. We help to accelerate SAP's digital transformation and to run compliant.

The team is responsible for implementing a proper governance model across different units and board areas and ensures compliance and transparency regarding Data protection and Privacy as well as IT Works council Co-determination.

 

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

 

As a team member in the dynamic CBO Central Business Operations team, you will consult and provide support around Data Protection & Privacy (DPP) and personal data handling to internal colleagues and departments. With that you ensure that the personal data of SAP’s employees, customers and partners is secured during all business processes.

 

This will include:

 

  • Cross-team projects, building the bridge between SAP internal IT stakeholders and SAP’s Data Protection Office and legal regulations and policies
  • Provide DPP support for SAP IT and guidance for compliant usage of technical innovations (i.e., machine learning, data anonymization)
  • Driving transparency by analyzing use cases, developing reports, and presenting outcomes to the target groups and make suggestions for improvements
  • Setting standards for cross-unit compliance and simplifying legal decisions at the field level
  • Improve DPP End user Experience for our supported applications
  • Sharing latest information/knowledge via the SAP internal portal, SharePoint, MS Teams
  • Appropriate handling of business sensitive and even critical information in a positive manner across different hierarchies

 

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

 

Required skills

 

  • Master’s degree or equivalents in business administration, business informatics, or adjacent disciplines
  • Business acumen as well as IT process knowledge (Methods & Tools)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; strong team player, empathy and ease of establishing credibility with key stakeholders
  • Strong interest/knowledge in GDRP (General Data Protection Regulation) and Data Privacy & Protection
  • Fluency in German & English, both oral and written.

 

Preferred skills

 

  • Certifications and proven knowledge around GDPR (e.g. CIPP; Certified Information Privacy Professional)
  • Experience with regulatory affairs or corporate governance as well as certifications (e.g. ISO, BSI)
  • GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) Implementation / consulting experience
  • Definition, automation and visualization of Management Reporting & KPl's
  • IT Skills: Visual Basic (VBA), Python, MS Teams, SharePoint

 

 

WORK EXPERIENCE

 

  • 6 months to 3 years of relevant work experience in a corporate environment through internships or recent work experience
