PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The mission of the SAP Corporate Development team is to fuel growth and success for customers, partners, and SAP by capitalizing on external sources of innovation most vital to our strategic goals. We drive mergers & acquisitions (M&A) and strategic partnerships focusing on topics with broad, cross-organizational implications and working as “One SAP” to achieve positive outcomes from holistic engagement across Board areas. The Product & Technology CoE team within Corporate Development contributes to this overall mission by supporting execution of the entire M&A lifecycle and selected strategic partner initiatives, with focus on product and technology, and other operational aspects such as professional service & support. 

If you are highly motivated student (f/m/d) and excited to work in a dynamic, high impact environment with changing tasks and responsibilities, brainstorm the next big investments for SAP, ideate & code software based workflows to improve our daily business and can handle tight timelines without much support due to the complexity of the technologies & products we interact with, then we are looking for you.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

You will support the us, Product and Technology CoE Team, around the following tasks: 

• Assist us in researching software sectors, specific companies and strategic areas and help us steer SAPs next wave of growth in these new sector
• Brainstorm and research with us on potential M&A targets and partnership activities in global software market
• Champion, based on your understanding of product, business & technology, product & technology fit for our M&A & partnership activities
• Help supporting the team in administrative tasks, such as maintaining project plans, documentation, and meeting minutes
• Manage and administer internal team collaboration space and tools and templates
• Support Management in presentation preparation and bringing project content into documentation
• Use your technical skills to create automatic workflows and develop tools supporting our daily operation

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

You fit if you have the following qualifications

• Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences
• Preferred fields of study: Business Informatics, Business, Computer Science, Software Engineering
• Computer skills: advanced skills in MS Office, especially Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
• Development experience with at least one of the following technologies is preferred: JavaScript, Python (or equivalent), Bash Scripting, SQL, AWS/Azure etc., SAS, R,
• Language skills: Fluency English is required, good command of German is beneficial
• Soft skills: We are looking for a passionate team player with an intercultural sensitivity and the ability to navigate independently in a large international company. The student (f/m/d) should be a self-starter and networker who can make change happen through strong communication skills and keen perception.
