Senior IT Business Analyst



Main duties and responsibilities:
The EMEA Service Sales & Marketing IT group is looking for a Senior IT Business Analyst to work in a new application support group.

This person would help define the roles and responsibilities within the group; put processes in place to make it easy for our business clients to get issues resolved; define metrics and reporting for issue resolution; work with local and global groups (IT and Business) on issue resolution.
This role requires a person who can understand the true needs of the business clients and translate those needs into technical designs and solutions for the IT team.
As a Senior IT Business Analyst they would also be responsible for leading small to medium-sized projects and mentoring junior members of the team.

Required skills:
• Written and verbal communication skills are critical to the role as are experience with project methodologies and previous client support experience.
• Strong analytical skills, critical thinking skills are also required.
• Need time management skills to be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, with complex, abstract concepts.
• Candidate must demonstrate leadership, using influencing and interpersonal skills to collaborate with many partners cross functionally and at different levels.

Preferred skills:
A technical background is desired with some experience with the Oracle toolset (Oracle databases, SQL*Plus, Oracle Developer, Oracle Reports), SQL, and a scripting language such as PERL.
