EVENT OVERVIEW

As we look for our next generation of SAP AppHaus Developer Interns, we like to take a more inspired approach to exploring our company culture.  SAP encourages a fast-paced, start-up environment while being a leading global organization, but we also open ourselves up to be more inviting beyond just the corporate setting.  We aim to engage and interact with our audience in a more open setting.

 

On Tuesday June 11 at 5 pm CEST, SAP is taking over the Palmengarten in Frankfurt for a free exclusive networking event.  Attendees of this event will be able to connect with various diverse members of the SAP community from all over Germany and speak about the opportunities with hiring managers, senior leaders in our company, and recruiters. 

 

Of course, we aren’t coming alone.  SAP has invited award-winning darts players to compete live for the event.  They will bring their skills and insights as darts champions to entertain all attendees.

INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW

The SAP AppHaus is a global team of 75 designers and program managers in five locations who work closely with customers and other teams within SAP. We focus on people to create business value and foster a culture of innovation. We follow this mission by applying design thinking and design doing methods to the business challenges of our customers. We offer them user-centric design solutions, enable them to establish a design mindset in their company culture, and help to re-design and optimize business processes. 


We are looking for an intern (f/m) who helps with the design and frontend + backend development of our internal tools. If you have a proactive mind-set, are self-driven, and are interested in working with designers in the , then we encourage you to apply.

 

As an intern on our team, you will:

  • Experience life in a creative environment while contributing to enhance the operations tools and support their expansion to new locations.
  • Work closely with the operations teams in the different locations to further advance the tools based on user requirements.
  • Contribute to the following tools:
    • The AppHaus Booking Tool used by SAP users to request new workshops, tours and projects. The AppHaus teams uses the tool to confirm and plan the workshops and interact with the customers
    • The Project Pipeline tool used by the team members to staff and track new projects in a transparent  

 

You will be or bring:

  • A student (f/m) currently enrolled at a university or a university of applied sciences
  • Frontend development experience (HTML5, XML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Backend development experience (NodeJS)
  • NoSQL experience or a willingness to learn
  • An enthusiasm for proactively contributing ideas rather than only taking top-down orders
  • Excellent English and German language skills (speaking and writing)
  • A variety of soft skills: team-player mentality, curiosity, strategic thinking, creativity, strong communication and presentation skills, self-reliant ethos
  • Knowledge in cloud native development would be a plus
