PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

SAP is on a transformational journey to be the Cloud company powered by HANA. As part of this journey, we launched the product SAP S/4HANA Cloud to be the next generation ERP on the cloud. This solution is built on our advanced in-memory platform, SAP HANA, and offers a modern user experience with SAP Fiori.

S/4HANA Cloud will not only drive the growth of SAP, but it will be the next chapter in our ERP success story taking over the baton from the success we have with our on premise solutions.

Our team “S/4HANA Cloud Product Management, Co-Innovation” is responsible for the product evolution. We translate SAP’s business objectives together with Marketing and Solution Management into product requirements together with development.

One of our key topics is Machine Learning (ML). It describes algorithms that can learn from data without having to be explicitly programmed. Huge data sets, massive processing power and improved algorithms, especially deep learning, are already revolutionizing consumer applications. ML is going to take enterprise software to a new level.

We are exploring and analyzing opportunities on how to use our own ML technology SAP Leonardo for our customers in the product versions to come.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

You will play an active role in project management and you will take over basic functions in our Project Management Office assisting with varied engagement(s), project(s) and/or program(s).

Our expectations are, that you

• Assist the Project Manager as needed
• Assist with project coordination, planning and management
• Support the team with it’s internal community/web site
• Participate in documentation management under the direction of the project lead.

You will gain the following knowledge

• Thorough understanding of the role of a Product Manager and the Product Management processes for developing software
• Learn how machine learning can be adapted for business processes
• Strong project management, organizational and communications skills
• Empathy and how to influence collaboration

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Student at a university or a university of applied sciences
• Language skills: fluent English and German
• Soft skills: Team player, Openminded, Eager to learn something new
