Franchise Lead Thrombosis - Director (m/f) in Berlin

Your tasks and responsibilities
  • Have overall commercial responsibility of the thrombosis franchise within New Product Commercialization & Portfolio Strategy, Strategic Marketing
  • Drive commercial development of pipeline assets from preclinical development to three years prior to launch, including but not limited to definition of Target Product Profiles (TPPs), business case, market understanding/buying process or patient/customer segmentation, product positioning, and brand strategy
  • Shape a franchise by leading the definition of franchise/portfolio strategy and drive portfolio decisions; lead and coordinate input into Strategic and Portfolio Reviews
  • Drive franchise value and sustainability by defining BD&L search criteria and partnering strategy and support Mergers & Acquisitions, Business Development & Licensing (BD&L), and partnering activities
  • Serve as commercial/marketing representation at Global Program Teams; lead Franchise Core Team (FCT) of Thrombosis
  • Act as team-lead for the interface between Strategic Marketing and BD&L, R&D, Strategic Pharmaceuticals, and Finance; interface with the regions and countries through FCT
  • Support line management for strategy development, franchise  management, financial forecasting, brand strategy development
Who you are
  • University degree (PhD, Master degree or comparable education) with extensive industrial (international pharmaceutical) or consulting experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in the fields of operative or strategic marketing and/or market access, direct Marketing & Sales experience in key markets and/or extensive expertise in shaping pipeline products
  • Profound therapeutic and commercial knowledge; relevant expertise in cardiovascular preferred
  • Basic understanding of drug discovery and development processes, and in-depth knowledge of financial models
  • High level of interpersonal and intercultural skills
  • Demonstrated ability to reduce complexity with a high degree of flexibility, personal drive and commitment
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to develop effective working relationships across functions and countries
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written
