Country Development Manager - Cross Border in Indien

We are currently seeking a Country Development Manager - Cross Border to join DHL eCommerce!

The Country Development Manager - Cross Border will be responsible for managing, controlling and developing all DHL eCommerce business activities including revenue & profitability performance across channels in accordance with the group business strategy and local business environment, in India. The successful incumbent will also be accountable for driving country functional improvement through regionally harmonized processes and procedures in line with DHL eCommerce Asia Pacific’s direction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Process Management

  • Ensure that the annual business plan including revenue, profit and service levels are met and that appropriate and timely corrective actions are taken to rectify any variance
  • Manage the effective implementation and use of the appropriate technology in all sections of the service chain, to enhance service and improve productivity
  • Manage and set the direction to Sales Team for business growth into new and existing customers through up-selling and cross-selling
  • Implement “best in class” processes, systems, and way of working and deliver competitive advantage both to all customers irrespective of channels
  • Analyze and monitor customer data to measure success and identify fluctuations/trends so as to decide on the relevant actions to be taken
  • Stakeholder Management

    • Develop a working relationship with the relevant supporting departments e.g. Finance, Operations, to ensure they are kept up to date with all issues relating to customers.
    • Ensure all issues relating to customer service, service recovery and credit control are coordinated and managed through the relevant DHL eCommerce departments
    • Build the DHL eCommerce Sales team to be able to find new sources of lead to close to improve market share
    • Customer Management

      •  Meet regularly with Channel Partners to evaluate Business plan/strategy so as to ensure that the required revenue and shipment results can be achieved.
      • Support the implementation of agreed account sales and customer acquisition strategies ensuring targeted revenue and profitability levels are in line with agreed business plans
      • Set up or adjust DHLeC operations processes and communicate through the operations team to maintain service quality 
      • Participate in planning processes to agree on KPIs and annual budgets to be achieved by the DHL eCommerce team
      • People Management

        • Develop IKOs/KPIs with team members and monitor individual performance.
        • Conduct performance appraisal
        • Identify training needs and opportunities to develop a highly skilled functional department
        • Manage the allocation of appropriate resources and commitment of staff to the achievements of Global, Regional and Country objectives and targets.
        • Desired Skills / Requirements

          • More than 12 years’ experience in a service-related industry in Sales
          • General Management/Project Management experience in National Capacity would be preferred
          • Experience / Exposure to the Ecommerce Market Segment
          • Significant management experience
          • Significant Mail Industry experience
          • Good interpersonal and excellent communication skills
          • Customer-facing and interaction skills
          • Software skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
          • Minimum Educational Qualification

            • Degree in Business (or equivalent)
