Our Expectations:

• Experience of managing a Finance team
• Experience of running a year end auditing process and at least 10 years of working experience
• Experience of producing annual Statutory accounts
• Professional GE accounting qualification (Bilanzbuchhalter) / master’s degree in economics
• Strong Technical Expertise in GE GAAP and IFRS 15, including latest accounting standards
• Strong people skills, including verbal communications, influencing and presentation skills, with ability to communicate technical matters with both senior management and non-technical audiences
• Tenacity and drive to overcome challenges
• Experience with SAP R3/S4H cloud version is a plus

Your Role:

• Lead the accounting & billing team, setting clear objectives
• Manage the month end reporting process ensuring all deadlines are met, preparing the financial reporting and management reporting
• Review and provide variance to budget/forecast commentary on monthly management accounts reports. Provide adjustment & accruals journals as appropriate
• Provide financial information and reports to Finance Controllers and Business Partners as required and to provide feedback to support forecasting & budgeting
• Technical advisor on technical accounting matters and to brief the wider finance team and wider business as required (i.e IFRS and GE GAAP)
• Prepare and review Monthly/Quarterly Balance sheet reconciliations.
• Preparation of documents/information for calculation of all year-end corporate tax/deferred tax provisions for statutory accounts for the tax advisor, including notes to the accounts
• Preparation of the monthly/quarterly reporting requirements, including quarterly corporate tax calculation (in cooperation with tax advisor) including liaising with Group Tax team
• Lead the annual audit with our external auditors and coordinate the team to provide all supporting schedules for the interim and year end audit
• Ensure strong financial controls are in place while driving process improvements and control improvements as required
• Ensure all accounting entries are GE GAAP compliant. Advise of any potential areas of judgement
• Monthly review and documenting of all significant revenue arrangements to ensure accurate accounting in accordance with GE GAAP and IFRS15
• Provision of detailed cash flow analysis, forecasting, reporting –
• Delivering the Statutory accounts for Germany and coordinating for Austria and Swiss entities
• Completion and submission of VAT returns
