ABOUT THE ROLE

The Researcher role sits alongside our team of experienced consultants, supporting them in every aspect of their everyday work, sourcing individuals from our own networks, our register of candidates as well as from external sources. You will screen potential candidates to meet our client specifications and manage individual client interview programmes. In addition, you participate continuously in regular internal meetings with colleagues and work on firm-wide business development initiatives is part of your job.

We provide a structured induction and ongoing trainings to ensure that you learn both the fundamentals of the private equity industry and our internal systems & processes in an effective and systematic manner. In addition, PER offers a clear career path development with growing responsibilities and rewards as milestones are met. Many of our researchers go on to develop into consultants with their own client base and project list; others continue to operate as senior researchers with increased responsibilities and greater prominence within the team and the market. Each person’s career development is planned personally to reflect your ambitions and strengths.

RESPONSIBILITIES

A high level of personal presentation and determination is vital with responsibilities including the following:

    • Sourcing candidates and initiating contact by telephone from recommendations, internet and other sources
    • Screening and interviewing candidates
    • Building long term relationships with candidates in the relevant industries
    • Mapping candidate pools from relevant companies / industries
    • Compiling market analyses
    • Managing administration and logistics of assignments

THE SKILLS YOU'LL NEED

PER has an excellent reputation in the private equity market. Our position as market leader is based on has high standards and values, and we take extremely good care of both our clients and candidates alike. People placement issues are sensitive, and empathy, discretion and confidentiality are vital.

To be successful in this role you should have the following skills and experience:

    • Strong academics, with a very good Bachelor’s degree as a minimum
    • Relevant experience in executive search, financial sector or sales is not essential but a clearly plus
    • Impeccable telephone manner and communication skills
    • Strong commitment to contacting and building relationships with candidates
    • Personal discipline and confidence in following up leads
    • Some understanding of financial markets with enthusiasm to learn quickly
    • High standards with immaculate attention to detail
    • Organised and methodical with good computer skills
    • Fluent in spoken and written English and German is a must
