SUMMARY & ROLE INFORMATION 
You will join one of the development teams at the SAP Innovation Center Potsdam to develop cloud solutions while evaluating latest technology innovations for their wider adoption within SAP Product Engineering. Our technology stack is constantly evolving and currently includes JavaScript, VueJS, HTML5, CSS, Java, SQL, HANA, Git, Jenkins, npm and Docker.
Your tasks will include:

• Developing frontend and backend components for cloud-native applications
• Ensuring continuous quality with test automation and code reviews
• Collaborating closely with development colleagues from the team, product owners and designers
• Evaluate technologies and derive conclusions for SAP’s product engineering architectur
• Contributing to the entire application lifecycle from early prototyping to market launch and operations
• Supporting pilot customers during implementation projects

EXPERIENCE / ROLE REQUIREMENTS 
Required:

• Extended functional or object-oriented programming skills in any programming language
• Knowledge on test automation and continuous delivery principles
• Experience with relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL or SAP HANA
• Proficiency in spoken and written English

Beneficial:    

• Experience with HTML5, JavaScript and JVM-based web development 
• Knowledge about agile software engineering principles
• Experience with operations of a cloud solution
• Contributions to open source projects

ABOUT THE TEAM / LINE OF BUSINESS 
The Intelligent Enterprise and Cross Product Architecture unit is the central group of SAP Product Engineering to drive the realization of the intelligent enterprise vision across SAP’s major products as well as provide architectural guidelines and patterns for our future cloud product developments.
The position can be filled as part time position.
