We’re looking for native French or Germany (born in France/German) for the voice recording project (recorded in French or Germany). You can record your voice and your family, friend, … The topics are about daily life situations, please read the situation list for more information. Please keep reading for more detail

Guideline:

Make sure to name the file in the correct order aligned with the situation number.

It would take you around 1 hour to record one topic of 150 situations (1 topic) and 4 hours to finish all 4 topics.

1. Resource arrangement: 18-20mins/person, 120 French and 135 Germany, 150 situations per topic and 4 topics in total for each person to respond. (you can choose to finish 1 topic or all 4 topics)
2. Gender: 50% male & 50% females. Upon collection, we require each candidate’s information such as Gender, Age, Country, State and native language.
3. Languages: Germany or French
4. Accent: All native tones & other ethnic groups speaking in the native tones.
5. How to record: One situation by one situation. The responses will be separately recorded, and there will be 0.5s blank in the beginning of the recording for editing purposes.
6. Device & Environment:16-8 kHz microphone on cellphones in various environments with background sounds such as TV or music, with same bandwidth constraints as a real phone call. (You can find sound resources online from YouTube or set up the environment by yourself)
7. Consistency: Use only one voice for each topic (150 situations) for each candidate
