ABOUT THE TECHNOLOGY & INNOVATION BOARD AREA 
The Technology & Innovation (T&I) board area is responsible for SAP’s overall platform and technology development such as SAP Cloud Platform and SAP HANA. In addition, T&I drives the incubation and adoption of intelligent technologies like Analytics and Machine Learning across SAP’s product portfolio. The T&I board area is also in charge of SAP’s global innovation agenda and builds new business model- and market driven innovations to help customers realize the most business value. The T&I Strategy & Operations unit combines the agility of a startup with the backbone of a global market leader and explores untapped opportunities in software engineering and business with the goal to develop game changing solutions. 
THE ROLE
As a software development student in our Strategic Projects Team you will have the chance to work on a variety of projects, that will showcase the value of our SAP technology portfolio. Under the supervision of a senior designer you will have the chance to directly interact with customers and users to perform all necessary tasks from user research / user testing, experience mapping up to high fidelity UI designs and prototypes. You will have the chance to directly work with an agile group of students with a tech and design background to bring ideas together and jointly ship real applications to real end users.
We are looking for a design student with a broad understanding of the whole UX and UI design process and the ability to join a software development project at every stage in the process to craft what is needed to deliver a great experience to real end users. 
Beyond your main project, you will also be invited to explore and support other activities of our team, such as designing executive keynotes and further short term, high-profile project requests.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences, preferred field(s) of study: Interface Design, User Experience Design, Interaction Design or a related field
• Required Skills:
  • Ability to translate user insights into testable prototypes and real applications
  • Good understanding of the design process, related methodologies and skills such as:
    • User research and usability testing
    • Experience mapping, Service Design Blueprints
    • Visual Design, Design Sprints
    • Mockups and wireframes in all kind of fidelities
  • Savvy in working with common design tools such as Sketch, Invision, Figma, Framer and/or Adobe CC
  • Fundamental knowledge of aesthetics and perceptual psychology as well as a good sense of beauty in UI and communication design
  • Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
• Preferred Skills:
  • Basic understanding of HTML and CSS is a plus
  • Basic understanding of multimedia production and animation by using Adobe Premiere and After Effects is a plus
• Soft skills: 
  • Interest in new technologies  
  • Hands-on, reliable and open-minded mentality
  • Strong team working skills 
  • Determined to reach a goal in time, to work independently and to prioritize tasks
