PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES 
Global Public Relations acts as the bridge between the world’s largest, most important media organizations and SAP. We advise on and facilitate media opportunities such as interviews and aim to drive business growth with the help of positive media coverage. We work to mitigate negative press coverage. 

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
The successful applicant is expected to support the Global Public Relations team with tasks such as scheduling, ordering and logistics related to events including quarterly earnings, the annual general meeting and journalist events. You will help with logistics and production in connection with TV and radio interviews. You will also write and edit briefing documents, create journalist profiles, translate between English and German, maintain media lists, and collect and analyze information on media coverage. You will have the opportunity to work in an exciting, occasionally fast-paced, environment where you will learn a lot about public relations.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences
  • Preferred fields of study: Communications, Media Science, Journalism, Languages
  • Computer skills: Knowledge of Office 365 
  • Language skills: German, English
  • Soft skills: collaborative, independent, reliable, flexible, curious, accurate, diligent and tech-savvy.

WORK EXPERIENCE
Experience as a journalist –both print and broadcast, writer, researcher, or in a PR department is very helpful. Experience with event logistics is a plus.

Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Please also describe your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.
