PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The Strategic Ecosystem Marketing team, working within SAP Global Partner Ecosystem and SME Marketing and reporting through to SAP’s Chief Marketing Officer, is responsible for developing and executing best-in-class alliance marketing strategies and programs with our largest and most important global partners. These include services (software implementation) partners like Accenture, Deloitte, IBM, and others. Our mandate is to increase collaboration, plan and execute joint global marketing programs and campaigns, support shared sales activities, assist in the delivery of new co-innovation and industry solutions, and win more business through SAP’s critical partner ecosystem.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

You will play an integral role in the day-to-day running of the Global Strategic Ecosystem Marketing team, providing support to its members in the execution and maintenance of various global projects, plus the planning and execution of future projects.

This role offers you not only the opportunity to work directly with a variety of SAP’s critical business partners around the world but, also provides exposure to a large number of teams, across numerous countries, within SAP including: sales, business development, competitive intelligence, finance, communications, press and analyst relations plus industry, product, and regional marketing.

The role entails continuous professional learning and encompasses:

  • Building social media strategies and plans, and executing those plans, in support of partner announcements, events and other significant joint initiatives
  • Preparing and analyzing revenue and sales reports to track the team’s key performance indicators and impact on a quarterly basis
  • Assisting with the editing of thought leadership content (blogs, customer stories, …)  plus promoting these references and initiatives to targeted internal and external audiences
  • Creating internal newsletters and emails which showcase our team’s successes. Identifying suitable internal and external communication channels and their stakeholders plus building and maintaining these communication tactics and contacts including external websites, social media, email etc.
  • Tracking of team budget, actuals, and variance
  • Creating and updating the team’s internal Jam pages, webpages, templates, and blogs
  • Researching, scheduling, and coordinating partner-related revenue and lead-generating events including SAPPHIRE NOW, industry conferences, partner events, webinars, and seminars

The nature of this role is also proactive - allowing you the opportunity to generate new ideas to simplify, innovate and improve team efficiencies and outcomes and take the initiative to spearhead these ideas as new projects.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Student (f/m/d) at a university or university of applied sciences
  • Preferred field(s) of study: Marketing, Communications, Commerce, Business Administration or Computer Science
  • Computer skills: mandatory and advanced level proficiency of Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of graphics software an asset. Ability to quickly learn how to work with news tools and platforms. The successful applicant must learn SAP Jam
  • Language skills: Proficient written and verbal knowledge of English
  • Soft skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills - both verbal and written. Analytical and detail oriented
  • Others: Ability to work as a team player, yet to also work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks.  Ability to juggle several projects at one time, working with a variety of stakeholders
