PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES 

SAP IT Services Support Application Landscape is responsible for the worldwide Support Systems of SAP and implements the SAP specific applications needed for the Support processes (Service Delivery, Customer Engagement, Incident Management, Remote Support) as well as customer facing portals like the SAP Support Launchpad or SAP for Me.
The area has about 80 employees located in Germany, China, Austria, Australia and USA.
The SAP for Me development team is searching for highly motivated working students to help to continuously improve SAP’s customer experience. The SAP for Me application platform is deployed as docker containers on Cloud Foundry and runs in an application cluster.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

• Learn working with the Eclipse Vert.x tool-kit for building cloud native and reactive applications on the JVM
• Learn JavaScript and SAPUI5 to work on extending existing UI Applications like Administration and Support Tools
• Learn and work with NodeJS, JSON and Core Data Services (CDS)

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences
• Preferred fields of study: computer science or related field
• Preferred skills: Knowledge about Java or NodeJS
• Soft Skills: Works independently, likes teamwork, willingness to learn new and complex technologies
• Language skills: German and English

WORK EXPERIENCE

• Experience with Java 11+
• First experiences with creating modern web applications are beneficial
