PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

SAP Cloud Platform Integration Suite is SAP’s strategic platform as a service for the integration of business processes between different applications. Our unit, Machine Learning Applications, focuses on building intelligent business services on top of SAP Cloud Platform.
In March 2020, we organize a global machine learning conference (CML) to connect machine learning experts across the company and foster knowledge sharing. The conference is taking place in our conference center in St. Leon-Rot. We are seeking a working student (f/m/d) that supports in organizing and managing this event.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
In this role, you will be working closely with both management and individual team members in order to ensure a smooth and successful conference in March 2020. Your specific tasks include:

  • Support organization of CML (e.g. create content for conference website, invite participants, organize catering, prepare agenda, communication with presenters, answer requests)
  • Support operations and communications team in tasks beyond CML

Most tasks are expected to arise in January to March 2020. Sufficient availability during that time is required.
The job is a very good opportunity to collect experience in event management, get insights into the processes and culture of SAP, network and gain industry experience. We are a young team and offer an international and cooperative working atmosphere. We support the development of our working students.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences
  • Preferred fields of study: Bachelor's or master’s degree with a focus on or interest in business administration, event management, human resources or similar field   
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint). Experience with project management tools and/or interest in Machine Learning would be a plus
  • Language skills: Excellent level of English (both written and spoken), German language skills preferred
  • Soft skills: Ability to prioritize and smoothly manage multiple tasks, strong organizational skills with attention to detail, excellent team working and communication skills, results and quality driven

Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Please describe as well your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.
