PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

We are an internal strategy group inside of SAP. We analyze internal and external data to identify the optimal sales targets in the market to generate opportunities for SAP Software. Our strategy program actively tracks our sales progress in the market and develops internal sales plays and guidance to support Account Executives and other field organizations with selling SAP software. The post-merger integration of Qualtrics is one example of our activities for this internship. For SAP it will be important to design and roll-out a strategy for an actively combined sales force.
In parallel to this task we are looking for a student (f/m/d) with interest and knowledge in new technologies such as artificial intelligence or blockchain etc. These new technologies are covered by SAP Leonardo.
The EMEA North New Business & Strategic Programs Office (NBD) works closely with customers and frontline to enhance customer success by establishing and sharing best practices that improve customer engagement. Supporting strategic aspirations of SAP, the team implements and runs high-value innovative programs to drive strategic innovations across SAP’s EMEA North region.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

  • Work in SAP prime team EMEA North to lead innovative programs to generate revenue by developing sales plays, internal training, and supporting the field with targeting accounts
  • Coordinate with relevant organizations including: Post Merger Integration, Compliance, Inside Sales, Net new names program, Partner Organization, services, and field sales to deliver a cohesive go to market, targeting accounts in all segments.
  • Contribution to the execution of the Strategic Customer Program Summit, a prime event for the sales force in EMEA North
  • Track leads, pipeline, and help generate revenue
  • Support the demand building for our 'Leonardo' solutions (IoT, Machine Learning, Blockchain, AI)
  • Align with the Account Managers of potential customer opportunities to collect all the required information for organizing a customer workshop on SAP Leonardo
  • Program Management: Deepen Program Management Skills by managing a high-visibility EMEA-wide Sales Support program across EMEA Market Units
  • Leadership Exposure & Visibility: Get exposure to Leaders across EMEA
  • Team Leadership/Teamwork: Work in virtual teams across several Lines of Business in EMEA
  • Customer Experience: Gain deep understanding and influence Customer Experience Drivers

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied science
  • Preferably a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or similar. MBA candidate preferred
  • Extensive exposure to program management is an advantage
  • Thrives in and successfully drives cross-cultural, cross-organizational “virtual” teams
  • Strong communication (ability to communicate complex topics and ideas verbally and written on all levels), networking, relationship building skills
  • Language: English – professional working level
