PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

SAP Security Research’s objective is to understand new basic principles in research, analyze the business value for SAP, refine the method and adapt them for SAP. By building prototypes and blueprints for productization, we support the SAP development teams to consume the research results.
As the global research department for security we are working on innovations around Anonymization, Applied Cryptography and Quantum Technologies. We are a young and dynamic team of post-doctoral researchers and PhD Students striving for new ways to protect enterprise systems. As such, we can support you during your internship on academic as well as hands-on architectural questions.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
Quantum Technology is a topic of emerging importance for enterprises, particularly also the arising security questions associated with it. Your task within our team will be to collect information about new trends in quantum technologies, to monitor activities of industry and academia, and to contribute to our reporting for internal and external stakeholders. You will have the opportunity to learn a lot about quantum technologies, in particular quantum computing and quantum communication. Additionally, you will shape your skills of turning all kind of articles into crisp summaries without losing the essence of the message.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Student (f/m/d) at a university or university of applied sciences
  • Good writing/summarizing/redacting skills
  • The ability to learn quickly in a new field and to immerse into new topics is essential
  • Prior knowledge about Quantum Technology is preferable, but not mandatory
  • A strong technological affinity and knowledge about recent security trends is a plus
  • Language skills: Fluency in English
  • Soft skills: Ability to communicate accurately and proactively

Please describe as well your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.
