PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The SAP Cloud Platform Enablement unit is a group within the Product Engineering organization at SAP that works on innovative products that are built on SAP Cloud Platform using infrastructure of AWS and other cloud providers. Our applications are powered by cloud-native technologies that allow us to implement cloud qualities such as elastic scaling and deal with the eventual failure of components and services.
We have a very talented team with many international colleagues from all over the world. The colleagues from Berlin can take the SAP shuttle bus from Berlin Westkreuz to our new office in Potsdam that features an astonishing view on lake Jungfernsee. We have an in-house canteen with a large barista machine and a game room with kicker, table tennis, PS4 and a climbing wall.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

You will join the development of innovative real estate cloud applications and take them from proof of concept all the way to global product offering. Our technology stack is constantly evolving and currently includes HTML5, CSS, Sass, JavaScript, Vue.js, Java, Node.js, SQL, HANA, Git, Jenkins, Maven and Docker.
As a working student (f/m/d) you will work closely together with experienced software developers and support them in solving software engineering challenges. Your main responsibilities will be:

• Software design and development (frontend and backend)
• Quality assurance in a cloud delivery with test automation and code reviews
• Be active member of an agile development team
• Be flexible to take on additional tasks

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Required skills

• Student (f/m/d) at a university or university of applied sciences
• Preferred fields of study: Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar
• Working knowledge of software design and development principles
• Applied programming skills in Java or JavaScript
• Fluent in English, German is a plus
