PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES 

SAP is an industry thought leader in user assistance (UA), providing help to the users of our software when they need it. Our team’s goal is to ensure that user assistance developers, translators, and their managers worldwide have access to the information, training, and other resources they need to do their jobs effectively and provide state-of-the-art user assistance for our SAP products.
The communications framework we provide plays a key role in this, and we need your support for the various communications and event-related activities!

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
We know that student jobs can be boring, we’ve been there. So we’d like to give you the opportunity to dive deeper into a variety of different but related tasks in our team. You’d:

  • Support us in planning, organizing, and executing the biggest events for user assistance developers and translators at SAP Germany, including an external conference we developed with our partner tekom
  • Help us with our communication tasks, which include event communication, our UA newsletter, and our internal social media sites
  • Be responsible for authoring and updating certain documents in our DITA content management system

There may be other administrative tasks along the way – you never know what the day may bring.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences
  • Preferred fields of study: Technical communication or a related subject such as translation
  • Computer skills: Strong IT skills, in particular with Microsoft Office products; experience with design tools such as Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator is a plus       
  • Language skills: Full professional proficiency or English, German skills are a plus
  • Soft skills: Ability to work independently, responsibly, and under pressure; flexibility and readiness to learn new skills at short notice       
  • Others: Knowledge of authoring in DITA may make some of your tasks easier, but don’t worry, you can also learn that on the job

Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Please describe as well your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.
