PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

S4/HANA Sales & Service Management represents a global LoB development organization with locations in Walldorf, Bangalore, Chengdu and Markdorf. We are extending the Digital Core of S/4HANA by a set of innovative software solutions in the area of Services Management. Our apps provide full end-to-end service management capabilities including embedded state-of-the-art analytics as well as AI-based predictive functionality facilitating the optimization and automation of our customers’ core business processes.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

The team you will closely be working with is developing and training SAP Leonardo-based models providing indicators and predictions supporting services provisioning, on time and in quality.
The research you will be conducting in close collaboration with our machine learning experts will focus on the optimization of trained ML models on customer-specific data patterns as well as the maintenance of trained models in a customer’s productive environment while ensuring the accuracy of provided predictions.
Your preferred start date will be October 1st, 2019. In order to allow you to familiarize yourself with the relevant business and technical needs and connect with our experts upfront, we will offer to you a 2-months practical phase, prior to your 6 months thesis.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences
  • Studying preferably in the fields: computer science, data science or related field
  • Having the following computer skills: (deep) machine learning, Google TensorFlow, Python
  • Speaking (e.g. English fluently, German as a plus)    
  • Besides that, you are a strong team player, expert in organizing, creative and a geek in number crunching
  • Experience with SAP Leonardo ML is beneficial but not required
