PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The Chinese market is of vital importance to SAP’s key clients around the world and for many multi- national corporations (MNCs) China is today already one of the top 3 global markets. At the same time more and more, Chinese SAP customers are going global through heavy investments into markets with a large SAP footprint (e.g. China buying into Germany). 
The China Liaison Office (CNLO) was established in Walldorf as part of the China Growth Plan in 2013. It reports directly to the President of GCO SAP Greater China. One of the main tasks of the CNLO is representation and positioning of SAPs China strategy outside China, with a focus on Germany. In this framework, the CNLO thought leadership drives topics and is responsible for the development and expansion of internal, but also external eco-system in the China context. This unit has evolved over the last two years as one of the core contributors for Business Development of SAP in China.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

  • Support the delegation work for visiting Chinese delegations to Walldorf (and selected other locations as required)
    • Communication with Organizers
    • Logistic set-up and support and execution 
    • Follow-up and reporting
  • Support thought leadership activities (incl. speeches, presentations, etc.) of CNLO Head
  • Support government and associations liaison work, including relevant research and preparation
  • Execute administrative and daily office task to support the head of the China Liaison Office in Berlin, including but not limited to:
    • Travel expense claims
    • Name card and contact organization
    • Calendar management
    • Handling of approval workflows
  • Translation and Interpretation work
    • Interpretation at visiting delegations
    • Translation of documents / presentations

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences
  • Study of Business / IT / Communication (Bachelor or Master)
  • Excellent Communication and Coordination skills
  • Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office Applications. SAP applications is a plus
  • Business fluent in Chinese and English
  • German is a plus
  • Working experience (full-time or part-time) in the areas of general business, IT and communication is a plus
