PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES  

Internet-of-Things and Industry 4.0 can provide breakthroughs in the way we work and live. Analysts expect up to 50 billion devices connected to the Internet by 2020. SAP is committed to shape this emerging market and to take advantage of our leadership position in business applications, cloud and technology.

Our group is at the forefront of this initiative at SAP. We are delivering reusable application services, tools and core application components for accelerating the development and delivery of IoT Cloud Applications and Solutions for SAP, customers and partners. We are actively driving the definition of the IoT reuse portfolio, and take the responsibility to develop, operate and commercialize this reuse portfolio, also known as SAP Leonardo IoT. Our activities range from shaping new business models for SAP, articulating our strategy to customers up to the definition of technical requirements for our new cloud IoT platform – and of course developing solutions for and with internal as well as external customers. We are a diverse team of highly experienced and dedicated colleagues to make this happen.

Our portfolio/ products, the SAP Leonardo IoT, provide core IoT services on our new Cloud Foundry SAP Cloud Platform (SCP). These services are reused by our internal and external customers to streamline their IoT application development. Our new services are designed to significantly ease and fasten development while relieving from commodity tasks like time series handling and business partner management.

We are looking for highly motivated, innovative, and results-oriented team. You should be an open-minded character with a high interest of serving our customers. SAP is a large world-class company with a long-standing history and success with on premise solutions. With our IoT solutions we are part of the transition of SAP to a cloud company. And you will have the opportunity to participate in this challenging and exciting endeavor. This job is allocated as part of our development team in Walldorf.  

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

• You will support our TwoGo teams to ensure service availability and quality for our customers and customers of our customers
• You will learn to setup and operate new Two Go landscapes while you document all required steps and consolidate information from developers into a hands-on documentation for our partners and customers
• You will help to manage the onboarding of new Customers/ Partners
• Help our teams to continuously improve the operational part of our Services
• You will be a link between service- / operation-teams and development-teams as well as our customers
• You are flexible take up different tasks according to project requirements  

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Required skills

• A student (f/m/d) of a university or a Univesity of applied sciences
• Basic understanding of Cloud Operation
• Basic knowledge of software development life cycle management
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Strong analytical skills and initiative
• Motivation to work in international and distributed teams
• Fluent written and spoken English and perfectly in German as well

Preferred skills

• Proven experiences in writing documentation and presentation
• Combination of technical interest with a strong focus on making customers happy 

Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Please describe as well your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.
