PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

More than ever, developers need the right platform to quickly extend, build and run cloud business applications. With comprehensive services and capabilities, the SAP Cloud Platform (SCP) is the Platform-as-a-Service that meets the requirements of the world’s best developers and enables them to build better apps in less time. 

Our team in Karlsruhe is co-driving the next evolution step of this platform to simplify the development of highly scalable, performant, robust and cost-efficient applications. We provide services that enable developers and operators to observe and analyze their cloud applications. Since the SAP Cloud platform is widely adopted, our services cope with large amounts of data and must deliver relevant insights reliably and in real time. 

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

To be successful long-term with a Service in the Cloud business, it is not enough to be the first in the market using recent technologies, but also to have a real competitive advantage in terms of integration scenarios, flexibility, cost effectiveness, etc. 

We look for motivated and curious students (f/m/d) who have demonstrated ability or willingness to learn new concepts in creating and analyzing cloud products. 

In particular you have to understand the scope of our current Kubernetes based Service and compare it with similar offerings in the market. You will present your findings and possible enhancements regularly to the team. Finally, you will demonstrate the value of your ideas by implementing PoCs.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Student (f/m/d) - preferred field(s) of study: Business / Business Information Systems or Computer Science
  • Knowledge or motivation to learn about Cloud Providers and Services, Product Management, Market Research, Competitive Analysis
  • Preferred: Knowledge in higher programming and scripting languages
  • Passion for technical topics and strong will to learn new things 

Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Please describe as well your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.
