PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Accounting & Controlling team is an experienced group working within the Line of Business Finance.

Our mission is to optimize SAP’s Profitability Revenue and Profitability and to further harmonize Financial Accounting and Controlling in S/4HANA Cloud. The product is designed to ensure a very high degree of simplification and standardization, in order to improve the customer experience. It is part of a next-generation set of solutions that runs on an innovative technology stack based on SAP HANA.

The Line of Business Finance is a global development organization with teams in Walldorf, Potsdam, Brno, Shanghai and Palo Alto. We work in cross-functional teams applying the lean development model as well as methods of agile software development.

You will be part of Accounting - a great development organization responsible for Management Accounting and integration of Logistics processes. The organization has a holistic view and takes responsibility on the complete development process with a strong focus on innovation and state-of-the-art user interaction.
Within the Accounting organization, you will support an important strategic S/4HANA Cloud project which is driven by an agile development team This enables a new level of decision support for multiple business views and provides a basis for real time management insights. You will be working with a group of highly motivated colleagues. Leveraging the foundation of the new HANA based Finance architecture, you will work on frontrunner applications with unprecedented insights and simulation capabilities in Finance in close contact to customers

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

As part of the SAP S/4HANA Finance Accounting team, you will be working in a diverse, fast-paced environment. You will take responsibility for supporting the test automation by developing unit tests for the newly developed code.

Joining our scrum team, you will …

• Work in a cross-functional team on designing, implementing, testing and maintaining software for a new set of Accounting simulation and prediction applications.
• Leverage the power of new technologies in the area of automation, machine learning, modelling and simulation.
• Share knowledge and close collaboration with other team members, esp. the product owner, and affiliated teams within and beyond LoB Finance.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Currently enrolled Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences with preferred field(s) of study: Business Informatics, Informatics, natural sciences, or in a comparable technical discipline
• Strong software development/ programming skills
• Knowledge of software design and software architecture
• Ability to learn quickly and to dive into new complex topics
• Motivated, committed, and strong self-initiative
• Strong oral and written communication skills both in German and in English
