PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

SAP Digital Commerce builds and runs SAP’s e-commerce capabilities. Core of our strategy is to enable customers to discover try and buy solutions and services in online self-service. Research shows that more and more decision makers form their opinion about IT solutions before contacting the vendor, increasingly using social media channels to check references and verify value statements. As a result, buyers increasingly don’t follow the traditional carefully designed buying journeys by the vendor. With “Social Media Selling” we are addressing that change in buying behavior and establish social media as a reliable and source of online revenue

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

As in intern for “Social Media Selling” you will be responsible for a set of projects in our social media strategy. This will include the running of established channels by designing and optimizing the content strategy, executing tests and verifying assumptions. In parallel you will be part of a team exploring new technology to extend and scale current efforts. You will be empowered to manage your own assignments and deliver excepted results, while working in a team and gaining in depth insights into B2B e-commerce , large customer buying patterns and SAP’s portfolio.    

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Student at a university or a university of applied sciences
  • Preferred fields of study: Economics, Information Technology, Marketing     
  • Computer skills: Base understanding of enterprise software. Social media savvy on all current platforms, in depth skills of MS office     
  • Language skills: fluent in English, second language is a plus   
  • Soft skills: creative thinker, extrovert, results oriented, crisp and clear communicator

Please describe as well your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.
