PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

Knowing both, the SAP standard software and the needs of our retail customers - the Global Retail Services team brings together project experience and process experts. Our portfolio includes not only the traditional ERP merchandise solutions but also covers advanced solutions for planning and analysis, complex supply chain solutions and the latest trends in the retail industry.
We address business innovations (like machine learning, Internet of Things or SCP) together with our customers with a dedicated Retail Innovation Lab. A core team adopts SAP solutions and leverages all existing assets in order to create new solutions validated by prototypes.

After a first phase of knowledge building you will take responsibility in working on a specific use case. Together we will formulate a suited topic for a Master thesis in close cooperation with your university.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

As an intern and thesis student, your tasks are in the following areas:

• Create demo environments and build prototypes to visualize and validate early prototypes
• Plan and conduct small projects
• Work on your thesis in accordance with your university

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Student - preferred field(s) of study:  business informatics, computer science or similar
• Computer skills: HTML5, SQL, Java
• Language skills: German, English business fluent
• Soft skills: Readiness of mind, Team player, good communication skills, autonomous working & willing to learn
• Others: MS office, Collaboration tools

Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Please describe as well your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs/ programming languages.
