PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

SAP’s line of business Customer Experience is redefining the paradigm of customer relationship management. We focus on the customer and the entire journey, including traditional marketing, sales, and service, as well as orchestrating online and mobile commerce and other interaction channels.

Our application SAP Subscription Billing focuses on the handling of subscription-based scenarios in the context of the Quote-to-Cash (Q2C) business process chain. Our application is highly consumable, built on a flexible microservice-based architecture, and we are deploying our solution daily, and - as we follow the DevOps paradigm - we are also operating our solution by our own. The support of this DevOps paradigm in this microservice-based architecture is the main focus of the team you will be part of.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS 

• Contributing to our CI/CD-infrastructure, which supports our development process and facilitates daily deployment of our artifacts,
• Designing tools in order to improve our operations processes,
• Working closely together with other project members in order to invent innovative and generic cloud concepts along the entire cloud stack from UI to backend, and,
• Contribute to the implementation of our proof-of-concept prototypes in a microservice environment 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES 

• Student of Computer Sciences, Business Informatics or related subject at university or university of applied sciences
• Programming skills in at least one of the following are expected: Java/Spring Boot, JavaScript/Node.js
• Knowledge of software build processes, CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, Travis CI) is a plus
• Knowledge in IT operation and IT infrastructure technologies, such as operating systems, databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis,…), messaging (RabbitMQ, Kafka, Kibana) and network technologies are a bonus
• Knowledge of Cloud Foundry is a bonus++
• Good written and verbal language and communication skills in German and English
• High motivation and self-driven team player 

Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Please describe as well your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.
