PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The Tools team is an internal software development team responsible for defining, designing and implementing the applications that support developers, product owners and the entire product development organization in their daily work.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
As a developer (internship or working student) in the team, you will be working in a fast-paced and agile environment where ideas become reality, prototypes become products, and product increments are shipped in short cycles.
You will work on
the , a self-service that provides customers the ability to strategically plan their future product landscape. For example, the tool gives recommendations based on the current use of SAP products. Furthermore, it allows to look into new business capabilities and helps to prioritize future product acquisition, transitions and discussions.
You will be part of a co-located and cross-functional scrum team consisting of developers, UX designers and product owners.
In this role, your tasks include

  • take over development tasks on your own or together with other developers - with focus on front-end - using JavaScript, Angular, HTML5 and CSS
  • take part in the Scrum process, take over backlog items, and share status updates and results in regular review meetings
  • join the discussion with product owners, UXDs and other developers and make design or implementation proposals
  • support the testing and maintenance of the developed features
  • bring new and fresh ideas into the team

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Studying at a university or university of applied sciences
  • Computer skills: Practical Experience with Angular (or at least similar UI technology like SAPUi5 or React) and TypeScript required
  • Language skills: German (fluent written and spoken)
  • Soft skills: Fast learning, independent and goal-oriented working style
  • If you do not have experience with tabletop football, you will have to learn that on-the-job
